Silkwool lining is not only pleasant for the skin, but also warm and breathable, and it transfers moisture from the skin. The balaclava has a KIVAT label, ball bobbles, reflective tape loop and warm cotton wool at the forehead
Our products do not contain harmful preservative chemicals, which is why they do not need to be washed before use (excluding dark colors in Silkwool material).
GENERAL INFORMATION
– Always wash the products in temperature given.
– Shape the product when damp.
– Do not soak. Do not tumble-dry.
WOOL
Wash inside out.
Machine wash in 30 °C wool wash programme, (please note that the programme needs to be especially for wool) or you can wash the product by hand in 30 °C.
Use liquid wool detergent, for example KIVAT laundry wash, which has been specially developed for our products.
Fabric softener can make the knitting slack, which is why we do not recommend using it.
Airing reduces the need for washing.
Do not dry in direct sunlight, or on a radiator, or on a heated floor.
Do not dry in a drying cabinet. Do not tumble-dry.
HAND WASHING WOOL
– Let your wool detergent first dissolve in a small
amount of hot water, then add cool water until the water temperature is
30°C and there is plenty of water. If necessary, use a bath
thermometer.
– Sink the product into the washing water.
– Do not soak the wool product, but rather gently clean it by squeezing.
– Do not scrub or twist the product roughly.
– Rinse carefully. Make sure that the temperature of the rinsing water is also 30 °C. Do not use fabric softener.
– In order to reduce drying time, wool products can be lightly spun, or
excess moisture can be removed by rolling the product inside a towel.
– Re-shape the wool products into their right size before drying.
– Let the product dry flat in an airy environment.
– Do not dry in direct sunlight, or on a radiator, or on a heated floor.
– Do not dry in a drying cabinet. Do not tumble-dry.
STORING A WOOL PRODUCT
Our wool products have not been treated with
moth-proofing chemicals, so you should make sure to protect wool
clothing from moths and other insects. Store wool products in an
air-tight plastic bag (e.g. in a zip lock bag) when they are not in
continuous use.
SILKWOOL
Machine wash in 30 °C wool wash programme.
